Portraits

This looks like as good a place as any to share the process I've been doing.  After doing a few more classic portraits, I've started a series called Monsieur X.

After doing my parents, then I did my best friend, Patsy Hamel 12x16.  Then, my mother in law, Claire, 9x12, both on suede matte board.

Determined to loosen up, I did my son Max on suede matte board 12x16.

Then I began the series that I am now embarked upon - Monsieur X #1 on Hahnemuhle velour 9x12 light yellow.

Monsieur X #3 - I really like this one.  A neutral beige velour kind of like moonstone.
